Arles is a super charming, historic town in Provence. Arles boasts a number of splendid Roman ruins which are on the UNESCO World Heritage site list. In addition, painter Vincent Van Gogh moved to Arles in 1888 and spent a year painting in the soft sunlight, some of his best work! These days, Arles is incredibly charming, with its grand 17th century homes, tons of greenery, and famous Roman amphitheater. But not only that, Arles boasts incredible restaurants, interesting museums, world class events, like the annual photography festival, and is surrounded by wonderful nature. In short, it's not only a magnificent and fun place to be photographed, but a great place to spend a day, too! It's 10/10 worth the trip!

Gordes is a medieval village, located high on a rock with stunning views in all directions of the nearby Luberon mountains as well as olive groves and vineyards. It is widely considered the most beautiful village in France, and after photographing so many incredible people here, I can tell you, it's true!

This magnificent village is a short drive from Avignon, and offers breathtaking viewpoints and incredible charm. It's a village you absolutely must visit once in your lives at least! I know Gordes so well and will take you on a guided walk and create stunning images of you that you'll cherish forever!

Les-Baux-de-Provence is a medieval village, located high on a rock with stunning views in all directions of the nearby Alpilles mountains as well as olive groves and vineyards.

Les Baux is known as one of the most beautiful villages in France and has charming, narrow streets and while the village is tiny, there are wonderful activities in the area. My favorite activity is the impressive Carriéres des Lumières, an immersive art venue housed in a former limestone quarry, which has been transformed into a spectacular setting for digital art exhibitions. You literally feel as if you're part of the painting!

Experience Provence Lavender Magic

A most amazing morning or evening (your choice) in the world famous lavender fields of Provence. Not only are the fields gorgeous, like nothing you've ever seen, with their bright blooms which change hues from purple to pink, depending on the light, and the smell is intoxicating. This is a chance for you to relax and enjoy, we'll go by private air-conditioned van, so you can sit back and enjoy the scenery. Who are you, are you French & do you speak English?

I'm Karina, a dynamic, high energy passionate professional photographer in France, living in France since 2014. I'm originally from the United States and English is my native language. I also speak French! You can learn more about me here.

What is the rate for the Karina Leigh Photography couples photo sessions in Provence?

We're a bit camera shy & don't love being photographed, how will you approach that?

I completely understand! That's why I approach photo sessions in Provence very casually and it's more like a photo walk or photo tour than stressful photo session. We'll be seeing Provence together, and I'll give you gentle guidance so that you don't feel uncomfortable, but so that we'll capture some amazing memories for you. It's designed to be a no stress, fun experience!

What time of day are the Provence couples photo sessions available?

I love to photograph couples in the morning for several reasons. First, it's less crowded in the morning and makes for a more pleasant experience to have a bit of Provence to ourselves. Second, in the summer months in particular, it can get quite bright and hot the later we go, so it's also more comfortable in the morning. We usually start at 8:00 am, or in summer we can also start at 7:00 am or sunrise. If your schedule only permits afternoons, we can also make that work!

What should we wear? Can you recommend a makeup artist?

After you reserve with me, I'll be sending you my exclusive Couples Style Guide, which will have tips on what to wear. In general, light fabrics are best in the summer months, and monochromatic outfits usually look best, although sometimes patterns can work as well. 

Yes, if you like, I can also recommend a makeup/hair artist that will help you look your very best!

Where will we meet, and how will we get around?

In Arles, we'll be meeting at the old Roman amphitheater and I'll send you directions. We'll walk, Arles is so compact! In Les Baux, we'll meet at the entrance to the village. 

How would we book and pay? Do you require a deposit?

Booking is so easy, just send me an email here to request your date, and I'll let you know of my availability. If we're less than a month out, I'll request the entire amount, otherwise, a non-refundable retainer of 150€ is requested to reserve your date, and the balance would be due 30 days before we meet. You may pay online via secure credit card payment.
