What's an Elopement & why should you elope in France?
That's a great question! An elopement is an intimate symbolic wedding ceremony, religious or non-religious, usually just you, the couple, but sometimes with a small group of family or friends attending. Some couples read their vows privately to each other, others love the services of an officiant or celebrant. It's very personal, and meaningful and focuses solely on the you and your special day.
Eloping in France is like living in a modern fairy tale! First, you have Paris, the world's most romantic city, with magnificent monuments, gardens, and iconic sights such as the Eiffel Tower. It's a wonderful place for an elopement.
In the south of France, you'll find Provence, a dreamy region filled with charm, vineyards, olive groves, mountains, lavender and relaxation.
Finally, you have the fabulous French Riviera (Cote d''Azur), with some of the most spectacular coastline in the world and some of the most amazing cities and villages. It's a must for those who love the sea! France has a bit of something for everyone!

Karina was amazing. She helped us with more than just photography, she took care of everything we needed. It took the stress away from us, especially living in Canada it would have been very difficult for us to do. she organized for us an officiant, driver, and hair and make up. Dreamy Elopements in the Lavender
Dream of saying "I Do" in a lavender field?
The lavender that blooms in Provence is world famous for its beauty, and of course, its intoxicating scent. An elopement here is an otherworldy experience. But timing is everything if this is your dream, as the lavender typically only blooms from the end of June to mid-July, before its cut and harvested to make essential oils and other products. So if this is your dream, let's plan your elopement to take full advantage!

Azure sea & sun-kissed rocky beaches, the famous French Riviera is the perfect place to elope!
Do you love the sun, the sea, and the gentle sound of the waves? Then an elopement on the French Riviera, also known as the Cote d'Azur, may be the elopement location of your dream!
I'll help you select a wonderful location by the sea, and you have lots of choices. Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Villefranche sur Mer, and Antibes are three of the most popular spots for a French Riviera elopement. If you're more into a city vibe, Nice is also gorgeous, and has all the big city amenities. This is truly a honeymoon location, too. You can participate in a lot of activities and sightseeing, or just relax, have a great meal, and read a book. Most of the French Riviera is rocky beach, but you can find sandy beaches in Cannes and outside St. Tropez.

The beauty of eloping in France is that you can have the absolute wedding of your dreams. Here's what some of clients did.
Gabriella & Lucas
Gabriella & Lucas wanted to have an elopement ceremony somewhere along the sea, just the two of them. They stayed in Nice, and we took a private van about 20 minutes to the seaside town of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, where we created beautiful wedding images of their special day. This elopement was very personal and intimate, and perfect for anyone who loves the sea. Gabriella brought her own bouquet and did her own makeup. The couple returned to Nice after their ceremony to relax.
GRISELLE & ERIC
Griselle & Eric invited close family to their elopement in Provence. There was a small group who attended their ceremony, which was held in the Provençal town of Menerbes at a winery. They had the ceremony at the winery, followed by a buffet lunch for their guests. The couple stayed at a villa in Gordes, in Provence, we created beautiful wedding photos in Gordes and nearby villages before the ceremony. Griselle's sister did her makeup, and the ceremony was officiated by the groom's brother and bride's sister. We used private transportation for the day.

Asia & Evan rented a beautiful home on Airbnb and had their ceremony on the terrace overlooking Gordes, in Provence. Asia and Even had an officiant, who created a personal and meaningful ceremony.
Afterward, we created beautiful images around Gordes and surrounding villages, and the couple celebrated with a beautiful lunch in Gordes. We had a private driver for this day, professional makeup artist and officiant.
It was the dream of this couple to have their wedding ceremony in a lavender field in Provence. The couple stayed in a hotel in Gordes, and with a private driver. Alexis did her own makeup and the couple said their vows to each other. We finished the morning with beautiful wedding photos in Gordes before returning to their hotel to swim in their pool.

Jeremy and Tamera were married in gorgeous Montmartre, in Paris. Taking place in early morning, with an incredible view of the city. Afterward, we went around Montmartre for wedding photos and a visit to the Eiffel Tower, too! We finished with a coffee toast at a cute cafe. Jeremy and Tamera had an officiant for their ceremony, and Tamera had a makeup artist.
Jess and Eric were married in the gardens of Trocadero, with a view of the Eiffel Tower. We then went around Paris for gorgeous photos at the Louvre and Tuileries Gardens. Jess and Eric had an officiant for their special day and a videographer, too.
Michele and Michael were married in Paris in the month of May. They had a beautiful ceremony with an officiant on the terrace of their Airbnb with views of the Eiffel Tower. We then went around Paris for beautiful photos at the Louvre and Luxembourg Gardens. Michele had a professional makeup artist.

There are a number of private terraces and balconies, both in hotels and home rentals, that offer views of the Eiffel Tower and can be rented for a fee. Some couples prefer a more private setting for their elopement ceremony.
Private balconies & terraces
Paris is famous for its gardens, and you have many choices. The Tuileries and Luxembourg Gardens are the most popular, but the gardens of the Palais Royal are as well, tucked behind the Louvre Museum.
Most couples getting married in Paris prefer a view of the Eiffel Tower. Trocadero Gardens is a popular spot for elopements, but it gets so busy later in the day, plan on a morning elopement for the best experience. In addition to Trocadero, there are many other lovely spots for your elopement with magnificent Eiffel Tower views!

We want to elope in Paris or Provence, but we're not sure where, can you help us plan?
With so many options, it can be confusing to decide on where to elope, especially if you've never been to Paris or Provence. In addition to my free Elopement Planners, I offer a complimentary 20-minute WhatsApp call to learn more about you and determine the very best place for your elopement!
What type of elopement is possible? Can we have guests?
While you can certainly privatize a location for your elopement, such as a hotel terrace, most couples love an outdoor elopement with a view of the Eiffel Tower or in a Paris garden. Elopements in Paris usually take place in the morning, before too many people wake up, as Paris gets super busy! Paris elopements are perfect if you're into romantic city vibes, great restaurants and beautiful monuments and gardens. In Provence, the possibilities are endless. Most revolve around the beauty of nature, such as seaside, in a lavender field, or in an olive grove, or even in a forest or on a mounain. But don't count out a gorgeous view from a Provençal hilltop village. Provence is ideal if you'd like a more laid-back, relaxed nature vibe and an "authentic" French experience.
Elopements are meant to be intimate and personal, so typically the maximum amount of people who could attend (including bride & groom) is 10 people maximum. Also, for groups, a private space may be required, especially in case of inclement weather. For groups larger than 10, a private location is required and that would be considered a small destination wedding, extra fees would apply.
Can you help us arrange other vendors, such as flowers, makeup & hair, officiant?
Yes! All clients who have reserved me for their elopement will receive guidance on vendors who will make your day so special. This could include a makeup & hair artist, flowers, officiant/celebrant and more.
Can elopements be put together last minute?
Unlike traditional weddings, which take a long time to plan, elopements can be planned a bit more quickly. That said, in the busy summer months of June to August (particularly August), its best to plan ahead if you can, as hotels fill very quickly.
How much should we budget for our elopement?
While elopements are generally more budget friendly than a larger wedding back home, make sure you have enough budget o truly enjoy your day in that way that you like. Most couples budget between 2500€ - 10000€ on their elopement in France.
