Engagement photoshoots in Paris are incredibly emotional. We call them a surprise proposal, the other person isn’t aware of the engagement to come, or the question to be asked, so therefore, it’s a surprise. As a Paris surprise proposal photographer it’s an absolute joy to capture these special moments and photograph them for my clients to remember forever.
Dusk Falls in Paris
What an incredible surprise proposal and engagement this was in Paris! In the winter months in Paris, it gets dark very early, making a bit challenging to create bright photos and still maintaining the surprise necessary for a surprise proposal. Meaning, no big flash set ups, nothing that could arouse suspicion. Ian brought Denee to the beautiful location we’d determined was perfect for him, with an unreal view of the Eiffel Tower. He and Denee were all dressed up for dinner, looking sharp as can be.
Words of Love
He spoke his words of love to her, and then got on one knee to ask her to marry him. She was so surprised! Afterward, we did a short engagement session nearby, and I edited these images with a cinematic approach, being that it was quite dark. It’s a style I quite love in the dark months where there isn’t much light.
Proof again that Paris is like a movie! A romantic love story!
Mini Engagement Session
We took advantage of the moment, and I photographed the newly engaged couple in the immediate area. However, Ian had scheduled an engagement session with me the next day, and it was so fun! Less pressure, an opportunity to just have fun in Paris and enjoy the thrill of being newly engaged. Engagement sessions after surprise proposals typically take place the next day. It’s a great way to celebrate an engagement and many couples use their Paris engagement photos as their wedding Save the Date cards.
